When I speak of fear as dangerous Joilene, I am referring to other's fear. Owen is referring to personal fear. I keep a mini 30 assault rifle and a rootcellar. In Montana especially, post collapse, the best food source is definitely going to be deer, until farms have time to regrow.

Maybe this subject is not part of this blog, officially...but since you brought it up, what are you doing to make sure fear doesn't impede your ability to survive - and even thrive - if such an infrastructure crash does occur? That is, fear because of your own potential unpreparedness, or fear in the hearts of others that might feel forced to take advantage of what you HAVE prepared?
Just curious.
For myself, self-sufficiency and preparedness was part of the attitude I grew up with, on a farm in Colorado.

Fear is an immensely dangerous and debilitating condition. It leads to panic, which leads to death. Definately a force to consider when going into a potential situation like that, and learning to overcome it.
